The band camp Diaries (2015)--

Hailing from LA, California, Uncle Watt is a forward-thinking rock band with a driven and eclectic sound.
Bridging the gaps between poetry and alternative rock music, Uncle Watt chose the vivid and surreal lyricism of influential performers the likes of Frank Zappa or Lou Reed, while embracing a brand of sound that defies categories and genres. At time dabbling into psychedelic pop & spoken words, at times exploring surf and garage rock sonic textures the band's kaleidoscopic work is held together by their will to tell stories and experiment with their music.
Single Glowing Red Eyes: is an enigmatic, self-styled "new age-rap-horror story", while "Wide Open Heart" strikes with its immediate and unrelenting energy. "Welcome" is one of the band's most unpredictable songs, with its experimental delayed guitar riffs, psycho-pop sonic landscapes and vocal harmonies that are reminiscent of old school electronica in the vein of pioneers of the genres such as influential German group Kraftwerk.
The band's old school aesthetic makes for a compelling visual and sonic identity that convincingly carves its now space within today's diverse music scene!

Robert Beeton, Internet Critic (2015)--

[UNCLE WATT] takes influence from many different genres such as blues and electronica and aims to create music that is fun, interesting and of a different nature.  I like the fact that Uncle Watt uses a simple formula with a wide range of influences to create an interesting and different sound, which makes them unique in their own kind of way. Many bands these days trail off and try to be someone else but it is clear that this band is sticking to its own sound. Great work is being made by [Uncle Watt] who have a lot of potential. Keep it up!
JOHNNY WAS A SPACER:  . . . interesting, unearthly piece to listen to. With its spacey vibes and robotic sounding voice, it fees unworldly and almost as if it's an alien's unique journey! With its retro, mellow feel you will find yourself bobbing around and tapping your fee quite easily!
JOSHUA TREE: Here we find [Uncle Watt's} blues influence combined with dialed back vides to create a very chilled out kind of track . . . [with a] retro, mellow feel.
WIDE OPEN HEART:  . . . serves up more attitude [with] twang guitars driving the track . . . . great lyrics . . . easy to remember and will have people singing along without a doubt!

Rockin' Reviews (2015)--

A SWEET LILY-BYE- . . . It was so calming and the instrumental music made it easy for me to play during meditation and right before bed. Now when I feel stressed at work, I take a five-minute break and listen to this song on my I-Phone. . . . The piano gives an uplifting quality to this song that makes it inspiring. I would recommend this band to all.
